August 19, 2026 is the planned release date: ReqEdit 2.25 brings a wide range of new features and improvements for more efficient, flexible, and reliable Requirements Engineering.
The new release enhances key workflows – from smarter navigation and powerful search capabilities to automation, validation, and enterprise-ready deployment.
🔧 Edit faster. Navigate smarter.
Interactive forms now adapt dynamically to your document, making editing more intuitive – with built-in HTML and PDF export.
With the new History Navigation, you can easily move back and forth between documents just the way you expect. Table editing and copy & paste have also been refined for cleaner formatting and a smoother workflow.
🔍 Search, filter & compare – on your terms
Compare documents using your own key fields, rather than being limited to predefined defaults.
Search & Replace has also become more reliable: deleted rows are handled correctly, filters can be applied case-sensitively, and Ctrl+A now works exactly as expected.
⚙️ More transparency and control for automation
New Script Execution Summaries give you a clear overview of what was executed and what happened during each run.
ReqEdit can now create an automatic backup before every script execution, with the option to add comments to backup files for better traceability.
JavaScript support has also been enhanced with row IDs, label fields, improved link data, and an included design document for AI-powered code generation.
📥 More reliable import, export & validation
ReqXML and batch import/export now come with clearer logging and improved error handling, making data exchange easier to monitor and troubleshoot.
Excel import has been improved to handle tricky row configurations more reliably. And with full RIF/ReqIF schema validation, you can validate your data with greater confidence.
🏢 Enterprise-ready – wherever you need it
ReqEdit 2.25 brings important improvements for enterprise and offline environments:
Server address validation helps prevent wasted time caused by invalid URLs.
Offline Mode lets you disable update checks and server usage whenever required.
Read-only deployments are now handled more safely: ReqEdit never writes to its own installation folder.
